About Us – Nate & Allison Grangood
We’re Nate and Allison Grangood, a husband-and-wife team bringing decades of combined experience in sales, marketing, antiques, and real estate to every client we serve. Northern Michigan is our home, and we are proud to help others navigate life transitions—whether buying or selling a home, downsizing, or managing an estate sale.
Our professional journey began in sales and marketing, from automotive, RVs, boats, and classic cars to luxury goods, where we developed expertise in negotiation, customer service, and building trust with clients. Along the way, our love of “treasure hunting” and antiques grew into a passion that evolved into Black River Estate Sales, a full-service, family-owned business helping clients efficiently and profitably manage estate sales, liquidations, and cleanouts.
As licensed realtors with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Michigan Real Estate in Cheboygan, we combine our marketing knowledge, real estate expertise, and market insight to provide a seamless, stress-free experience for our clients. From pricing and preparing estates to staging homes and managing sales, we handle every detail so clients can focus on what matters most.
We’ve lived in Northern Michigan our entire lives—Nate from Petoskey and Allison from Traverse City—and we’ve built deep roots in the community. Since starting our family in 2014, we’ve traveled, explored, and honed our skills in antiques, vintage items, and high-value sales, turning our passions into a thriving business. Today, we reside on the Black River, where we enjoy the outdoors, fishing, boating, riding ATVs, and spending quality time with our three children.
Whether running a premier estate sale, helping clients transition homes, or providing expert real estate guidance, we treat every client like family. Our mission is to make each process efficient, profitable, and as stress-free as possible, all while maintaining the personal, family-oriented touch that sets us apart.
