This is who we are.
Owned and operated by us, Nate and Allison Grangood. Black River Estates is a professional and family owned company operating in Northern Michigan; serving all of Michigan.
We have lived in Northern Michigan all our lives. Nate was raised in Petoskey Michigan, while Allison hails from Traverse City Michigan. Starting our life together in 2014, we spent several years together traveling for our marketing career while seeing much of our beautiful country, and starting our "treasure hunting". Our treasure hunting is what sparked the passion which turned into a wealth of knowledge from running a small business from our garage, to opening our first storefront, buying estates, and finally using our knowledge and marketing expertise to run premier estate sales.
With a background in sales / marketing from cars, boats, motor homes, Vintage and restored cars, hot tubs, and luxury goods. We have all the knowledge to generate sales and traffic to your estate sale, Pairing with the ever changing knowledge of the antique and vintage market to price accordingly and sell quickly,
to Maximize your revenue.
In 2020 we welcomed our first daughter, a son in 2022, and expecting our third in Dec 2024. Since then, Allison has been able to stay home and spend her time becoming a devoted mother and wife. While operating aside Nate in Real Estate and being able to maintain a family owned and run business.
Nate has since retired from traveling and flying and is currently selling real estate at Real Estate One in Indian River. Both Nate and Allison are licensed realtors and continue to work side-by-side. We pride ourselves in helping our clients transition through a difficult time liquidating the contents, donating what is possible, cleaning up afterwards, and getting the property sold retaining proper value, while maintaining a hands-off experience for our clients allowing them to focus on much more important matters while taking much stress related projects off.
Currently living in Tower, Michigan. We love the outdoors and spend our free time fishing, riding our ATV, sightseeing, boating, exploring, and teaching our beautiful children all about everything. We spent lots of time in all our local cities like eating in Petoskey. Exploring the Great Lake in Mackinaw. Seeing plays in Cheboygan. Fishing in Indian river, and visiting family in Traverse City. There's no place quite like Northern Michigan!
We are thankful for the many opportunities bestowed upon us. We believe it is more blessed to give then receive. Giving back is something we live for and is a constant goal in our everyday lives.
